How do I record and loop?
Tap the big green button and play. Tap it again to stop. Your take is saved and starts looping right away, and the button turns amber. Tap the amber button to stop the loop, then tap again whenever you want to record a new one.
What do the button colours mean?
Green is ready to record. Red means it is recording (you will see a live waveform and a timer). Amber means a loop is playing (you will see a moving playhead).
How do I make the loop fit exactly one bar?
Tap the scissors next to a take. Drag the two white handles to cut the start and the end, and use the ±10 ms buttons for fine adjustment. The loop keeps playing while you drag, so you can hear the seam as you cut.
Nothing gets recorded. What do I check?
Make sure microphone access is on: Settings → Solo Looper → Microphone. While recording you should see a red waveform moving under the button. If it stays flat, the microphone is not picking you up. Check that nothing covers it and that no other app is using the microphone.
How do I rename or delete a take?
Swipe the take to the left in the list. You will see Rename and Delete.
Does the loop keep playing when the screen is locked?
Yes. It keeps playing when the screen locks or when you switch to another app, for example a chord chart. You can pause it from the lock screen. Recording needs the app open on the screen.
Where are my recordings stored?
Only on your iPhone, inside the app. They are never uploaded. Deleting the app deletes them.
Does it cost anything? Is there a subscription?
Solo Looper is a one-time purchase. There is no subscription, no ads and no in-app purchases, so you never pay again.
